The Executive Space Course, taught in English, provides an overview of space and of space-related subjects for professionals of diverse backgrounds, including marketing, finance, law, and contracts management.
Providing them with a better understanding of space technology and business, professionals leave with the knowledge and skills that will enable them to communicate more effectively with their technical colleagues.
The course also provides its participants with exposure to a unique interdisciplinary, international and intercultural learning environment.
Venue: Industry House, 10 Binara Street, Canberra, Australia
The course will be conducted in the premises of the Commonwealth Department of Industry, Innovation and Science and the Australian Space Agency in the city centre of Canberra, within walking distance of accommodation, restaurants, shopping, parking and other amenities.
Professional visits are planned to include the Advanced Instrumentation Technology Centre at Mount Stromlo and the Canberra Deep Space Communication Complex at Tidbinbilla.

The Course is intended for two broad categories of professionals, those working in the space sector but who do not have a space background (e.g., those with expertise in finance, law, marketing, human resources, etc. or even engineering and science) or those currently working outside the space sector but who have an interest in developing a better understanding of it (e.g., entrepreneurs, government employees and politicians, etc.)
Many people think you need to be an engineer or a scientist to be a part of the space sector. This is not the case and the International Space University has a successful record of enabling access for people of all vocations.
